The Worst Memory - LPSS by reauxkringgirl The Worst Memory - LPSS by reauxkringgirl
I imagine the shock made him lay there with her in his arms for hours.

I can also imagine that he was found by maybe McGonagall and Dumbledore later on...

I apologize for not having Harry in the crib there -- I felt that it would subtract from the main focus of the piece.

I also apologize for the lack of cleanliness or sketchiness in this piece. If you must know, I had to do this quickly and without my parents or my sister knowing.

This is the one series I have rebelled against my parents with. Being the conservatives that they are, they believe this and Twilight or any other supernatural series is pure evil if not demonic.

Thus, if they found out I would be making fanart of this, I would be yelled at and quite possibly kicked out (well, in my mind, maybe, but honestly, this would never happen). Luckily, I move out in 29 days, so I feel more comfortable with doing this type of thing before I head out. I guess I should get points for bravery considering I totally had to lock myself away to get this done...

I saw this movie (much to my parent's chagrin) and I absolutely loved the "Prince's Tale" sequence. While some of the aging technology was absolutely fantastic, some of the makeup (particularly when Snape and Dumbledore were on the hill) looked absolutely trippy. At first glance I kind of had a mental :wtf: moment.

But as for the rest of the scenes -- I absolutely loved them and I can't wait for all the music videos of these scenes to come out --they've already got GIFs of this scene posted all over the internet.

Anyways, this is my own little fanart of this scene and it was absolutely heartrending. I had to listen to the "Severus and Lily" part of the HPDH2 soundtrack to work up the emotions for it. I'm really sad it's over now. :cries:

Hope ya'll like it.

I can so relate. T.T

On the the art, I agree with you; Harry and his crib would have been a distraction. The expressions and mood are very well done. The green you used in the room, to me, helps to convey Snape's sadness.

I really love how detailed Snape's face is. The sorrow in his expression is really powerful. The angle of lighting hitting his face is excellent as well. It's really great to see how you're improving as an artist!! And that you gave Harry Potter a chance ;)

Ohh, moving out! Good for you. You must be both scare and excited. I hope things go smoothly :) Are you moving out because you're going to art school?

Lol, nope, I'm not moving out for art school. I'm moving out to Belhaven for an English degree with a Secondary Education as a minor. It took a while, but it looks like I will a) finally be moving out and b) actually going to a good school. Thanks so much for the encouragement. I'm glad I gave Harry Potter a chance too. :D

That is really fantastic! English major rocks (as I'm going to be one as well... :P). What year are you in college now? I had to put off school to work some, but I'm starting this year at Memphis and verryy pumped. :) Do you know what your concentration is going to be in?

I'm a junior...and as for my concentration...no idea. I would like to hone in on Victorian Literature and feminism of the early 19th century...that would be an amazing concept to cover and it would be so rewarding I think. Good luck at Memphis! I've been there before and I couldn't stand it--I felt like a number. Hopefully your experience there will be more rewarding than mine! :D

Ugh, people who condemn things like Harry Potter as "evil" or "demonic" usually have no idea what they're talking about and the rest know very, very little about what they're talking about. And this pic is really nice. :) I like the art style.

All they see is "witch" and "wizard" and they get squicked out because "sorcery" is a huge no-no, especially with Christianity. I just see it as fiction. After all, most Christians have no problems with the witches and wizards in "Wizard of Oz," "Lord of the Rings," or "Narnia." Though it has been argued that these do have biblical parallels and were written by supposedly Christian writers, I just see them all as fiction since they do not directly affect my views about Christianity. Thanks so much for the comment! :D

Yes, and if the haters stopped and did the tinniest bit of research, they'd learn that Harry Potter *also* has biblical parallels and was written by a supposedly Christian writer. But whatever. I've had arguments with one of my brothers over this. :P Not that his opinion matters much. lol Oh, and I *totally* agree with you about seeing something as fiction; it's kind of important for people to learn the difference between fantasy and reality. If a person hasn't done that by the time they're like 12...well, it's kinda scary.

I do really love your Snape here. Just...everything about him is beautiful.

I applaud your bravery against your parents, Personally I went to a christian school myself where nearly half the class were fans of harry potter but it was frowned upon and scorned by the teachers "scaring" us for liking it, but we didn't care :D Its more about the brilliant storyline than the "witchcraft" part that really matters.

Did you know in the books Sirius and Hagrid went to the house as well? I was not expecting snape to visit the house, it was an emotional scene to add in the movie, and I think its very in character of him to just sit there with her body over night not wanting to move until being found by dumbledore, great emotion you've portrayed here, nice work :)

Awww, thanks so much! And agreed - the storyline was far more compelling. :D

As for the books - I knew Sirius went later, but I didn't remember anything about Hagrid going there, though it does make sense.

Thanks so much for the comment--it is greatly appreciated! I shall try to place the same amount of emotion into the rest of my work from now on. :D

I cried so hard at this scene. I love your drawing of it. I am also happy to read about you doing what you want and standing up for yourself. I know a lot of people that think HP is evil and I just don't agree its a wonderful yet sometimes tragic story. :) thanks for capturing this scene.
